The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) Dr Frankenstein, goaded by an even crazier scientist, builds his monster a female mate. We live in a post-‘Dark Universe’ era. Watching Universal fumble reviving their classic monsters has been more fun than the resulting films themselves.
The Bride of Frankenstein concerns a motif in the novel that, in the movie, comes to fruition, that of creating a female companion for the monster. In fact, the movie takes the motif to a logical consequence. Saw BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935) recently (10/19). Hadn’t seen it in 15 or 20 years.
